With heavy hearts, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Best in the West Showdown until 2027. Facing a transition to a new venue and other logistical challenges, we felt it was important to pause and ensure we return in a way that truly honors the tradition, athletes, horses, and passionate supporters who define this event.

Our commitment has always been to deliver a professionally run and unforgettable experience, and this pause allows us to ensure the Showdown returns stronger than ever. While this decision wasn’t easy, it was made with the long-term future of Big Sky Skijoring at heart.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our community. Thank you for standing with us during this transition—we can’t wait to welcome you back for an even bigger and better Showdown in the years ahead.
